Eight In & Eight Out are high performance, flexible gain circuit cards for use in console rebuilding or diy projects. Applications would include: adding balanced inputs and outputs to consoles whose native I/O is unbalanced, balancing patchbay insert points or bringing semi-pro output levels up to usable pro levels.

Overview

  • Eight IN:
    • THAT 1200 Series InGenius Balanced Line Receiver ICs
    • Eight electronically balanced inputs.
    • Eight unbalanced outputs.
    • Gain structure is set during assembly,
      Common configuration examples:
      +4dBu input; -2dBu output
      +4dBu input; -10dBv output
      Other configurations are available, including different gains for each channel.
  • Eight OUT:
    • THAT 1606 Series OutSmarts Balanced Line Driver ICs
    • Eight unbalanced inputs.
    • Eight electronically balanced outputs.
    • Gain and input impedance are set during assembly.
      Common configurations examples:
      10k input impedance; -2dBu input; +4dBu output
      50k input impedance; -10dBv input +4dBu output
      Other configurations are available, including different gains for each channel.
    • Gain will automatically compensate for balanced or unbalanced outputs (as with a transformer).
  • Inputs and outputs are on standard pinout db-25's for easy interfacing.
