Eight In & Eight Out are high performance, flexible gain circuit cards for use in console rebuilding projects. Applications would include: adding balanced inputs and outputs to consoles whose native I/O is unbalanced, balancing patchbay insert points or bringing semi-pro output levels up to usable pro levels.

Overview

• Eight IN:
  • Eight electronically balanced inputs.
  • Eight unbalanced outputs.
  • Gain structure is set during assembly, common configurations would be +4dBu input to -2dBu output or +4dBu input to -10dBu output. Other configurations are available, including different gains for each channel.
• Eight OUT:
  • Eight unbalanced inputs.
  • Eight electronically balanced outputs.
  • Gain structure and input impedance is set during assembly, common configurations would be 10k input impedance, -2dBu input to +4dBu output or -10dBu input to +4dBu output. Other configurations are available, including different setups for each channel. Maximum recommended gain for this stage is about 20dB.
  • Gain will automatically compensate for balanced or unbalanced outputs (as with a transformer).
• Inputs and outputs are on standard pinout db-25's for easy interfacing.
